Keshet Ben AMI
Born 1990, Katzrin, Israel
Lives and works in Tel Aviv
Ben Ami’s sculptures explore the duality between automatic creation and strict accuracy. Through her works, she presents the actions that are involved in creating the found objects’ inherent nature: winding, compression, scrolling, but she re-contextualizes them to a sometimes aesthetic, sometimes humorous, sometimes violent articulation of a universal artistic process alongside a more personal exploration of these subjects.
Ben Ami is a recent graduate of Shenkar Multidisciplinary Art School and is the recipient of the AICF scholarship for visual arts of 2016-17 via the kind donation of the Dalia and Eli Hurvitz Foundation.
